I'm Yoni Lemel, English-speaking tour guide, license number 23221 certified by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, and this is my business website where I showcase some of the tours that I do for individuals, families and groups.

So briefly, here's my story. My wife Shlomit and I made Aliya from the UK in 2022.  We were members of the Orthodox Jewish community in Hendon, London. I had a landscaping business there, but for various reasons I quickly realized I wasn't going to do that in Israel. I needed to try something new but why become a tour guide?  The answer is that I love people, history and the great outdoors. Most importantly, I need to continuously make that connection with Judaism and our 3,000-year-old heritage in the Land of Israel.  I feel that helping others to make that connection too, is one of the most important goals one can set oneself.  

 

What can I offer you as a tour guide? False modesty aside, I guess excellent knowledge, enthusiasm, great organizational and communication skills, having been in business for many years.  I am also well connected in the Israeli tourism scene. I work with a great coach company and know many tour guides who speak many different languages who have a wide range of knowledge and expertise.  Transparency and honesty are important, and if you need a tour in a language other than English, or for a group needing an alternative religious and cultural experience, I won't hesitate to recommend another guide that I personally know and respect.
